Due to the appropriate heat treatment of our cast ingots, our tool plate is guaranteed minor residual stress and therefore offers excellent dimensional stability and strength.

2024
Thought of as the “aircraft” alloy because of its strength, the alloy has fair corrosion resistance but good machinability. The alloy lends itself only to resistance welding. In the annealed state it has good workability but is only fair to poor in tempers. Typical end uses are aircraft skin, cowls, truck and aircraft.

6082
Constitutes an ideal alternative to non heat treatable, high-strength material and stands out due to its suitability for anodic oxidisation. Such plate is mainly used in the mechanical engineering and transport industries, not to mention a wide range of applications in the electronics and semiconductor industries. Strength, weldability and excellent forming capacity in a T4 temper make the strip and sheet a versatile material for a diversity of uses. In addition, various surface qualities and outstanding anodic oxidisation suitability facilitate the fulfilment of specific design requirements.

6081
With very good corrosion resistance, finishing plus excellent weldablity and a strength level similar to mild steel, this is a popular general-purpose alloy. Machinability is good and in the annealed state, its workability carries a high rating, staying in the “good” level if heat-treated without aging. Typical end uses are general tool and jig plate, aircraft landing mats, storage tanks and highway signs.

2014
This alloy demonstrates the advantages of aluminium as a material to perfection. This is evident in the considerable strength to weight advantage in comparison with those of steel. Combined with excellent processing characteristics, it makes a wealth of innovation possible. This material is vital to the realisation of high-tech products for the aerospace, automotive and sports equipment industry.
7075
One of the highest strength, commercially available alloys with fair corrosion resistance, and machinability. Low workability rating and welded only by resistance process. Typically used for aircraft skins, cowls and structures.

5000
As opposed to cast products, non heat treatable rolled plate stands out due to its tensile strength and fracture toughness. It is not only used for standard mechanical engineering, transport and mould making applications, but is preferred for sensitive pressure vessel manufacture and the production of mechanical parts subject to extreme wear. Non heat treatable strip and sheet are characterised by their evenness, extremely tight thickness tolerances and surface quality. They are above all, in demand by the automotive industry and for other advanced high-tech applications.
